Cascade Prime Times

Description

This is a ski (and more) club for men and women over 50. The Cascade Prime Timers is a non-profit organization of mature people who enjoy the camaraderie of friends who share a spirit of adventure.   The Club promotes the benefits of recreational activities and mental stimulation for a healthy and enjoyable life style.

January through March, members meet for midweek downhill skiing at Meadows, crosscountry on Thursdays at a variety of locations on Mt. Hood, and snowshoe on Fridays. The club usually offers 10-12 trips to downhill and cross country ski areas in the U.S. & Canada each year.   Year-round club activities include 2 or 3 levels of hiking each week ten months of the year, an annual picnic, camping trips, rodeo attendance, kayaking, bridge, ethnic dining, etc. Social meetings are held the last Monday of most months.

Cascade Prime Timers "...contribute a portion of our dues to worthwhile mountain groups such as the Northwest Ski Club Councils Scholarship fund, Friends of Timberline, Silcox Hut,  Shriners Hospital Children's Ski Therapy Program,   Special Olympics of Oregon,  Mt. Hood Cultural Center & Museum, the Tea Cup Lake Oregon Nordic Club and the Mt. Hood Ski Patrol."
