North Mountain Resort - What's New in 2008-09
Thank you, Northwest skiers and snowboarders. Your assistance is
greatly appreciated, and the good news continues to roll out due to
your efforts!
Our staff spent this summer designing
new alpine trails and gladed descents in the terrain west of Chair 4
on Angel Peak. The resort will construct these trails and
glades during the next three summers in combination with
construction of additional surface parking in the nordic lot.
There are plans
in the coming years for the development of Sunrise Basin Village.
A
new base area lodge, hotel, and condominiums are planned for the
private land that surrounds the lower terminal of the Sunrise Quad.
The first phase of development will be comprised of approximately
450 units, situated on 40 acres. As the village takes form,
visitors will be treated with additional lifts, hotels,
condominiums, townhouses, cottages, and single family lots. Units
could be up for sale as early as 2008.
And, as always, summer slope maintenance goes forth to
continually improve our trail system.
