Crystal Mountain Moves Forward With New Improvements in 2008

During the summer months of 2008, Crystal Mountain completed these projects:

-A brand new look for the website with updated videos and content

-Paving of the entrances to “B” lot

-A new drain field was installed for the Summit House restaurant and summit restrooms

-Re-grading of the bottom of the Northway Chairlift

Washington’s highest restaurant hosted Sunset dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings and a Sunday all you can eat brunch from June 20, 2008- September 14, 2008.

Accommodations at the resort were open daily during this period with an abundance of daily activities including horseback riding, disc golf, hiking, biking and sightseeing at the resort.

The 2007/2008 ski and snowboard season at Crystal Mountain was a fun and snowy 5 months. The Northway lift opened to skiers and snowboarders on December 22, 2008. Over 4,000 skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes at Crystal for the opening day of the new Northway lift.

The Summit at Snoqualmie was brought in under the same management as Crystal Mountain also for the 2007/2008 season and introduced exciting new benefits to the season pass holders of both resorts.

During the summer months of 2007, Crystal Mountain completed these larger projects:

-A fixed grip chairlift from the 4,930' elevation just to the south of the lower Northway trail over the top of Northway Peak into Snorting Elk Bowl.  This new lift will service 1,000 acres of terrain!

-Renovated the Summit House which is now a full-service restaurant with fresh NW cuisine.

Located just 76 miles from Seattle and 64 miles from Tacoma, Crystal Mountain, Washington’s largest ski area, is situated on the northeast edge of Mt. Rainier National Park. The turn off to Crystal Mountain is 33 miles east of Enumclaw on Highway 410.
