NWSCC’s Woman of the Year for 2003 is Debbi Kor – a dedicated,
tirelessly hard working person who has contributed greatly to her
Ski Club, now
Plaza-Edgeset Ski Club, since she first joined Plaza in 1983.
Throwing herself immediately into the spirit of the club, Debbi
helped set up the legendary Indoor Winter Olympics at the old Ski
Ramp in the winter of 1984. For Plaza, she “did” the club
newsletter for 4 years (including typing it); raced PACRAT for 4
years until a back injury ended her racing career; has led
numerous Winter and Spring club trips to Mt. Bachelor over the
years; and for the last six years has been the Non-Ski Activities
Director, planning a multitude of fun activities for club members,
including parties, wine tours, and theater events, even taking the
club out of state for some of the events. Debbi is now organizing
her first club out-of-state ski trip, going to Alpine Meadows,
Lake Tahoe, in January 2004. |
