Emilio Trampuz: 2004 NWSCC Man of the Year |
|
|
 |
Emilio Trampuz, representing
Mountain High Snowsport
Club (formerly Plaza-Edgeset), is another shining example of what
it means to be a “volunteer.” Emilio has skied for 37 years, and
has been a member of Mountain High for 13 of those years. |
|
 |
A prolific writer and talented photographer and graphic artist,
Emilio has given countless hours to designing and editing the
Mountain High newsletter, as well as producing the fabulous
posters, flyers, and other artwork you see advertising NWSCC’s
many activities. He attends all the NWSCC meetings, guaranteeing
that all the information shared there makes it into the Mountain
High newsletter. |
|
 |
Emilio works very hard to solicit and maintain new members for his
club, and has also been a trip leader several times to places like
Schweitzer Mountain, Big White, and Whistler/Blackcomb. Emilio is
also a PACRAT racer, and in fact, has been one of Mountain High’s
team captains for the past ten years and has also acted as Race
Director. |
|
 |
He donated time designing a brochure for PACRAT that the council
uses for new members. Emilio can usually be seen with a camera in
his hand, and many of his photos have found their way into various
club and council publications, and onto our websites as well.
Emilio and his wife reside in Salem, so we especially appreciate
his commuting volunteerism even more! |
 |
Barb and Emilio represented NWSCC at the Far West Ski Association
Convention held in Reno, Nevada this past June. While we were
incredibly proud of our two candidates, we were especially
ecstatic when Emilio was announced as the FWSA Council Man of the
Year for 2004. Both Emilio and Barb were awarded well-deserved
trips to Big White for their volunteer efforts.
