CLUB FACTS

Why does a mountain biking club have a listing in a ski club brochure? Well, next summer you may be want to go play in the woods, and PUMP will be there to show you the way! We may be a bike club, but we have many members who are avid skiers also.

EVENTS

PUMP is dedicated to: Promoting safe, responsible mountain biking. Uniting the mountain bike community, by sponsoring trail work parties and publishing a monthly newsletter. Maintaining the future of mountain biking by educating riders and forming relationships with local and regional government. Pedaling on organized rides published in our monthly ride calendar. PUMP is devoted to the promotion of the sport of mountain biking and to the utilization of the sport to encourage enjoyment of the great outdoors through low impact recreational activities while at the same time promoting conservation and environmental responsibility. This is accomplished through trail maintenance in conjunction with various Forest Service and Park Organizations, by cutting back non-native plants such as ivy and building water troughs to maintain trails from rain runoff for bikers, hikers, and equestrians.  PUMP is also a member of the International Mountain Biking Association, www.imba.com.

MEETINGS

Dues are $20 per year and there are approximately 175 active members. Monthly meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month at the Lucky Labrador in Portland at 7:30 PM.
