CLUB FACTS

Founded in 1970, this club started when students in a class at Timberline liked the camaraderie and fun of skiing with an enthusiastic group, so decided to continue skiing together, with the goal of continuing improvement of their skiing ability.

EVENTS

Winter events include a season-opener at Mt Hood, Sunday night skiing and midweek skiing at local areas, cross-country skiing during the busy holiday season, weekend trips to nearby resorts, “Ski With A Winner” trips (with a ratio of 1 in-club instructor to every 7 participants), mostly to “previously un-skied” major ski areas. Occasionally, a group trip to a European ski resort is conducted. Summer activities include Downhill Bike Blasts, Downriver Canoe trips, an Irrigation Ditch Canoe Regatta, weekend hikes locally, midweek biking-picnic rides, Halloween and New Year’s dance-socials, a combination Floating Croquet Tournament and Wine Tasting tour, annual September Reunion at Sisters, Oregon, and winding-up a busy year with a “Farewell to the Beach” reunion in October.

MEETING

This laid-back club holds no formal meetings, now has about 173 members,  and depends upon enthusiastic volunteers to create and lead some rather unique group events.  Dues are $12 per year.
