CLUB FACTS
Skiyente Ski Club is a group of women 21 year of age or older
who are excited about snowsports and life. The enthusiasm
of this 50-year-old-all-women's ski club shows in all of its
activities and it's contagious.
EVENTS
The club sponsors the annual King Winter Dance honoring a man
or woman who has made a significant contribution to skiing on
Mt. Hood, and the Skiyente/Memorial Cup Races. Skiyente offers
the Erin Nicole Memorial Scholarship to an up-and-coming female
racer through NWSSF, as well as supporting many other charitable
organizations. The club has a wine and cheese social in October
to promote membership, a Fireside holiday party, and Spring and
Summer
functions. Skiyente’s PACRAT teams have consistently finished
high in the standings, and TWICE a Skiyente team won the PACRAT
championship trophy!
Skiyente celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005-06 with
many events for members, families and the Mountain
Community. In February 2008, Skiyente is sponsoring its
third annual family ski trip, this time to Sun Valley. The trip is open to all NWSCC members and their
families...join us and enjoy the fun.
MEMBERSHIP
The club’s 50 plus members meet the 1st Tuesday of each month
and dues are $40 per year.
