NORTHWEST SKI CHALLENGE

2008 Northwest Ski Challenge - Oregon, Washington or Idaho
You can participate in this unique Northwest Council event, The Northwest Ski Challenge.  The Council Board is challenging Northwest skiers to ski or snowboard at 9 of Oregon's 11 ski resorts; and/or 10 of the 14 ski resorts in Washington; and/or 12 of the 16 ski resorts in Idaho during the 2007-08 ski season.   If you complete this challenge you will qualify for the Council’s year end drawing for prizes – equipment, services, and 2008-09 lift tickets.  Turn in proof that you have skied nine ski resorts in Oregon, ten ski resorts in Washington or 12 ski resorts in Idaho (see lists below) and your name will be entered in the drawing.  Proof can be lift tickets from each ski resort or a credit card receipt showing proof of purchase.  Entries and proof of qualification must be received by the Council no later than June 15, 2008. See instructions below.  The drawing will take place at the June Council meeting.  You must be 18 years old or older to enter.

2007 Ski Oregon/Washington Challenge Results
David Schor snowboarded twelve of the fourteen Washington ski areas.  Emilio Trampuz and Ed Palmer skied ten of the fourteen areas.  Nancy Tsai skied nine of the eleven ski areas in Oregon.

2006 Ski Oregon Challenge Results
David Schor snowboarded all eleven Oregon Ski Areas by February 19,2006 to finish first in the "Race to the Finish".   Emilio Trampuz  and McCoy Smith have skied all eleven Oregon ski areas and tied for second place.  Ed Palmer skied 9 of the 11 areas.  Read about their experiences by clicking on their names with links to their stories.  Read the Complete Composite Diary by all participants - Click Here.

How to Enter in 2008
You may ski or board at the designated ski resort at any time during the 2007-08 ski season.  If you are a PACRAT racer you can use your lift tickets for each day that you ski and race at the ski resorts as proof.  Many clubs have trips scheduled to these areas during the season.
