of the Year

Council Man and Woman of the Year Selected by council reps at the April meeting, these candidates are nominated by their respective clubs. Active in club, council and community activities, these candidates will participate in a Council Man and Woman of the Year competition at the convention.

Please refer to the Far West Ski Association Web Site for more information. Past winners of the outstanding club award have included both Bergfreunde and Skiyente, who are multiple winners.

Far West Safety Award

Far West Safety Award Nominated by councils and clubs, these individuals will be judged by a panel that includes FWSA public affairs officials and the sponsor ski resort. The winners have made significant contributions to the promotion of safety awareness. The winner receives vacation at Aspen.  Application deadline is May 15 each year.  For a copy of the application [Click Here].

Far West History Award

Far West History Award Applicants for this prestigious award are judged by the Far West history committee and the host resort (Steamboat). The winner will win a ski vacation at Steamboat.
