NWSCC is a proud member of Far West Ski Association, “The Voice of the Western Skier.” FWSA is made up of ten ski and snowsport councils in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and our own Oregon and Washington. Over 160 clubs and 40,000 skiers belong to the ten councils. FWSA not only provides many fun activities for its member councils, it also participates both regionally and nationally with regard to legislative, safety, insurance and other issues important to those of us who enjoy the mountains.

NWSCC’s influence in the Far West Ski Association remains very strong. Randy Lew (Mountain High) is President of the Association's Board of Directors.  Steve Coxen, Past President of NWSCC, served as President of FWSA for three years 2000-2003.  Steve will continue to serve on the FWSA board as Chairman of the FWSA Board of Trustees.  Steve also chairs the FWSA Convention Committee.  Debbi Kor-Lew (Mountain High), was re-elected to another two year term as FWSA V.P. of Marketing in 2006.  Mary Olhausen (Bergfreunde), as President of NWSCC will also serve on the FWSA board.  Debbi is also Sponsorship Coordinator for the FWSA Annual Convention.  Mary is the Annual Convention Silent Auction Coordinator
