Features/Comments

Silver Star combines a friendly atmosphere with skiing and boarding on 3,065 acres; blanketed by 23 feet of feather-light Okanagan powder snow.  Silver Star opens its new Silver Woods terrain this winter, increasing Silver Star's front side by 54%, all serviced by a high-speed express quad lift.  New for the 2005/2006 season is Canada's newest terrain park.  TELUS Park, including a half pipe, skier/boarder cross course, mogul course and rails.  Snowbird Lodge (new mid-winter 2006) is a five-star accommodation located at the end of the village closest to the slopes.

Both "mild" and "wild" - there are easy, widely spaced runs and glades on the Vance Creek side, and everything from velvety-smooth award-winning groomed runs to steep, gnarly, glade skiing Putnam Creek.  Silver Star's renowned Victorian-era village features bright-colored storefronts with  ornately decorated trim that creates its own special ambience.  Silver Star is magical: from world-class Nordic trails set for classic and skate techniques, to dancing all night at the Vance Creek Saloon.  Dual mountain packages to nearby Big White Ski Resort are available on the same lift ticket!
