Cascade Prime Timers

Cascade Prime Timers is a non-profit organization of active adults fifty years of age and over who enjoy camaraderie of downhill skiing, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, biking and other activities and mental stimulation for a healthy and enjoyable life style.

The club was organized at the instigation of Mt Hood Meadows as Over The Hill Gang, Mt Hood Chapter in December 1987.  In May 1995 the club became Cascade Prime Timers.

Cascade Prime Timers is run totally by volunteers. We have no office or telephone. On the last Monday of January, February, March, June, September and October there is a Social evening with a guest speaker, hors d'oeuvres, and no-host bar where we catch up with each other and keep up to date with current club news. The club publishes an informative newsletter (on-line) six times a year. Prospective members are always welcome at one of our socials or, by member invitation, to one of our activities to see us in action.

We originally started as a ski club, we have branched out and now offer many more year around activities. Winter activities include Downhill (alpine) skiing, Nordic (cross country) skiing and snowshoeing. The summer program includes hiking on Fridays, Rambles on Mondays, camp outs, kayak/canoe and an annual picnic. Our club has several informal groups such as an ethnic dinner group and bridge group. We have overnight trips, local and international year-round.

We are a Membership club. Club trips and events are provided only for Cascade Prime Timer club members exclusively. Membership in Cascade Prime Timers (CPT) additionally includes membership with Northwest Ski Club Council and Far West Ski Association, both of which run a variety of winter and summer activities in which our members are welcome to participate. The club's membership year runs from May 1st to April 30th.
